National executive council elections
The NEC elections take place in April/May 2005. Representatives are selected from the regions and service groups plus four additional members' seats and a young members' seat.

Why is it important?
The general management and policy development of the union between national delegate conferences rests with the NEC. It meets at least four times every year to thrash out union policy and ensure motions passed at NDC are carried out.
