Queen's speech - 'fit for purpose'
UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis described the Queen's speech as "fit for purpose", saying that it "sets out a serious agenda for serious times".

Commenting on the slimmed-down speech, Mr Prentis said that: "It's only right at this time of economic crisis for the government to focus attention on measures to take the pressure off families and business and deal with the scourge of child poverty."
