'A serious package for serious times'
(24/11/08) UNISON has hailed a confidence-boosting pre-budget report that it says reasserts the government's commitment to fairness and social responsibility.

UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis praised the government for taking bold measures to protect jobs and homes, and halt the country's slide into recession.
