Windfall campaign gathers pace

Seventy-six Labour MPs have now publicly backed the campaign for a one-off windfall tax on energy firms who have made massive profits.

UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis warned that many families were facing an impossible dilemma between keeping warm and putting food on the table, while energy companies carried on raising fuel prices.
