Local government strike ballot approved

Local government members in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will vote on possible strikes after rejecting the latest pay offer from employers.

Scotland's local government committee has agreed to try and build a united campaign for industrial action following an 80% rejection of a three year pay offer.
