UNISON is the main union for support staff working in further education colleges.

Our 25,000 members include learning support staff, librarians, IT specialists, technicians, professional staff, administrative and business support staff, cleaners, canteen staff and estate management staff.

Points Based Immigration System

(16/06/2009)(11/06/2009) The Home Office has introduced a points-based immigration system that is affecting colleges and Higher Education institutions. The system awards points to workers' from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for skills that reflect experience and age.
