Our members include teaching assistants, nursery staff, administrators, secretaries, policy officers, technicians, cleaners, caretakers, school meals workers - in fact anyone working in schools or supporting education.

(15/01/2009) Lifelong Learning UK established the Disability Equality Implementation Group (DEIG) alongside representatives from the lifelong learning sector, to take forward the recommendations of the Commission for Disabled Staff in Lifelong Learning.
(15/01/2009) The Race Advisory Group is running a series of consultation events in the next coupe of months throughout the UK. The staff consultation events will be looking at staff experiences in relation to race equality.

The forum has just produced a training DVD will help further education and skills providers develop practical approaches to delivering sexual orientation equality, and to meet the requirements of equality legislation.

Seminars will take place in each of the nine English regions and in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, between December 2008 and March 2009. There is no cost for attending these valuable training events.
