(30/01/10) Bassetlaw local government was recognised as branch of the yer in the East Midlands region’s branch awards presented by general secretary Dave Prentis. Best recruiting branch was East Northants local government while Dukeries health was named best practice branch.
The East Midlands Region came out top again — we were the best recruiting region for the 22nd month in a row! How good is that?
Notts County Council are proposing £33m of cuts to vital services. UNISON have identified £28m of "easy money" for the council. See the attached document for a copy of the letter we sent to the Chief Executive outlining where this money can be found so that the majority of the proposed cuts can be prevented.
