Black members in UNISON work together to win positive change in the workplace. The more of us that are actively involved the stronger we become. The stronger we are the more positive change we can achieve.

On August 23, the UK will mark the National Slavery Memorial Day. This day has been set aside as a national day of remembrance for the abolition of slave trade and to provide us with an opportunity to understand the reality and the truth of the slave trade and abolition movement. It also provides us with an opportunity to focus on the legacy of racism and exploitative working conditions that remains with us today.Black Action: Spring 2011
