The Big Conversation

Labour's Big Conversation project has been billed by the prime minister as the biggest consultation exercise ever undertaken by a political party in the UK, attempting to involve millions of people in government policy.

Via local meetings, the internet, post and even text message, you can submit your ideas for the future direction of decision-making in the UK. Maybe you have a radical new idea to solve our transport woes? Or you favour a "green card" system of immigration?

Perhaps you reckon students shouldn't have to pay top-up fees? Or think military interventions like the one in Iraq were a good thing?

And maybe - like UNISON - you are opposed to the use of private companies taking over our public services? Link to another page on this siteClick here to find out what UNISON thinks of this issue and many others.

The Big Conversation aims to be all-inclusive, airing opinion both pro and anti government and Labour party official lines. The prime minister himself is keen for UNISON members to get involved: Link to another page on this siteclick here to read an exclusive message from Tony Blair to our members.

If enough people make their voices heard, a real difference could be made.
