UNISONFree.net and UNISONplus.net

The UNISONFree.net and UNISONplus.net services are no longer being endorsed by UNISON. These services were being operated by a company called Real Poptel who UNISON does not have any contractual agreement with (and who are not a UNISON endorsed supplier).

It is UNISON's understanding that this company may have ceased trading or be in administration.

Any members still using UNISONfree.net or UNISONPlus.net are advised to change to a new ISP provider at the earliest opportunity as the service has become very unreliable and may cease altogether without notice.

UNISON is not recommending any particular ISP provider and suggests that you review all the different services available from companies like AOL, Virgin, Tiscali, the Phone Co-Op etc, to decide which one offers you the best value and most suitable service for your needs.

Changing to a new ISP provider is a simple process and the new provider will either supply you with a disc to load onto your computer or will provide a telephone helpline service to assist you in making the change.

The Phone Co-op have offered to help UNISON members who wish to change to their service and can be contacted at: www.thephone.coop or tel: 0845 458 9000.

The main thing to take into account is that your email address will change so you need to inform all your friends, family and other contacts of your new address. If you have business cards or headed paper etc with your email or web address on you also need to ensure these are re-printed or amended.
