The case for in-house services: a branch guide

UNISON Bargaining Support has published The case for in-house services: a branch guide to help branches put the case for publicly run services at a time when contracting-out is becoming increasingly common.

This new guide debunks the myth that privatising services improves them and saves taxpayers money. Giving real examples and taking you step by step through the arguments, this guide offers an alternative to the lazy assumptions that so often lead to services being privatised.

You can view the guide here: http://www.unison.org.uk/file/The%20case%20for%20in-house%20services%20-%20a%20branch%20guide.pdf

We are currently awaiting a stock number for this document which will allow your branch to order hard copies.

In the meantime, branches who would like a single copy sent to them should e-mail bsg@unison.co.uk and we will try to send you one (supplies permitting). Unfortunately, at this stage we are not able to send multiple copies to branches.
