Branch auditors' guide

Branch Core Rule 6a sets out the officers of the branch who must be elected at the Annual General Meeting. UNISON's Code of Good Branch Practice, section 11.1, states that branches should appoint auditors from within the branch to review financial procedures. There should be two auditors neither of whom should be a member of the branch executive committee.

UNISON aims to provide high quality support and advice to all of our members at all times. This procedure is intended to ensure that UNISON members are aware that: 1) Anyone wishing to make a complaint knows how to do so. 2) The union responds to the complaint quickly and in a courteous and efficient way. 3) Members’ complaints are taken seriously and properly dealt with. 4) The union learns from complaints and where complaints are found to be justified, takes appropriate measures.
